International Agriculture Research Institute held a Symposium on Agricultural Science and Technology Cooperation and Exchange with Beikong Urban Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd.


On the morning of April 9, Zhang Jingyu, deputy general manager of the Yunnan branch of Beikong Urban Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd., and his colleagues arrived at the Yunnan Agricultural Academy Sciences(YAAS) to have an exchange and discussion with leaders and experts of the International Agriculture Research Institute on how to deepen agricultural cooperation with Myanmar, launch agricultural investment cooperation in Myanmar, explore agricultural market in Myanmar, and promote exchanges and cooperation between Beikong Urban Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. and International Agriculture Research Institute, YAAS. The symposium was presided over by Liu Zhenhuan, secretary of the International Agriculture Research Institute, and attended by relevant leaders, experts of YAAS. Li Lu, deputy director of International Agriculture Research Institute and representatives of scientific and technological personnel are presented at the forum.

On the forum, Liu Zhenhuan on behalf of the International Agriculture Research Institute made a welcome speech. The representative of Beikong Urban Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. introduced the basics of the company and expressed the willingness to invest in the agricultural industry and carry out agricultural science and technology cooperation in Myanmar. Liu Zhenhuan introduced the basics of International Agriculture Research Institute, and the cooperation situation with Myanmar in agriculture and agricultural science and technology. The leaders and experts representatives of YAAS respectively introduced the basic situation and progress of the cooperation between YAAS and Myanmar in agriculture and agricultural science and technology. Subsequently, the two sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues related to agricultural science and technology cooperation, international agricultural cooperation policies, sources and costs of investment land, challenges of cross-border investment, the scale of Myanmar\'s agricultural market, distribution channels of agricultural products, and cooperation modes with YAAS.

During the meeting, participants from both sides spoke freely. Through in-depth discussions, the two sides had a preliminary and relatively full-understanding of each other, which laid a good foundation for further cooperation.
